1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk or juice from canned peaches
1 can (30 ounces) sliced peaches, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Place butter in 11 x 7 x 3 inch pan. Melt in a 350º oven.

Sift together dry ingredients. Add milk; mix thoroughly.

Pour batter over melted butter. Arrange fruit on top. Bake for 40 minutes.
