Apple Pie Bars Recipe

2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. butter
2 egg yolks beaten
4 c. apples, pared and sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 egg whites, beaten

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. Cut in butter and mix in
egg yolks until crumbly. Press 1/2 mixture in 9 x 13 pan.
Combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Arrange
over the bottom crust. Crumble remainder of crust over the
apple mixture. Brush egg whites over all. Bake 350 30-40
minutes. Cool. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze.
