2 baguette- french bread. mayonnaise to moisten-,3/4 lb shrimp or crab meat, 3T chopped parsley.

Cheese spread; 8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated, 1T softened butter, 1 can rinsed and chopped water chestnuts, and 3 or 4 green onions, chopped.

Mix cheese with butter, add the water chestnuts and green onions. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bread in 1/2 lengthwise. Remove some of the bread to make a trench. Cover with the cheese spread. Add mayonnaise to shrimp or crab and spread over the cheese. Bake 20 minutes or till bubbly. Sprinkle with parsley or chives. Cut into serving pieces. Cool slightly and serve.
