1 cup margarine
4 eggs
2 cups sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups golden delicious apples, finely chopped
2 tsp vanilla
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups broken walnut meats
Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine and chocolate together over hot water. Beat eggs until light and lemon color. Add sugar gradually while continuing to beat. Stir in chocolate mixture and beat hard for 1 minute. Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt; stir into first mixture. Stir in apples, nuts and vanilla. Spoon into a greased 9 x 13" pan. Bake 350º for about one hour or until done. Cut into squares.
