2 c buttermilk, 2 c flour, 2 eggs, 2 tsp.baking powder, 4T melted butter, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp soda, 2T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs. Beat whites until stiff. Mix all other ingredients together and beat until smooth. Fold in egg whites. Heat pan over medium heat, add 1 tsp. butter into each cup then add 2T of batter. Turn quickly when the batter begins to bubble around the edges using a knitting needle or fork. Serve warm with sour cream and jam or butter and powdered sugar.
