2 c. milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice
4 c. stoneground wheat flour
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together dry ingredients, form a bowl in the middle of the mixture. Add sour milk and stir vigerously. Knead into a round loaf and cut a cross into the top with a sharp knife. Place into 8" skillet and bake at 400º for 40 minutes.

Cool and serve with honeyed butter

I almost always have to add more liquid to get the dough to stick together. Some people add rasins and nuts to their bread - but they probably aren't quite as authentic.
