1 1/2 C water
1 1/2 C sugar
1 t cinnamon
1 1/2 t cream of tartar
18 soda crackers
Unbaked 2-crust pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the water and add all the ingredients except crackers. When blended add crackers which have been broken into thirds or fourths. Bring to the boiling point and pour into unbaked pie shell. Add top crust. Brush top with milk or cream and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Bake 25 minutes in 425 degree oven.

This one is for fun. Many years ago when I had to make DINNER for hay hands pie was expected to be on the menu. Gary McNitt liked apple pie so I decided to make this. He was fooled and still remembers. I made this last Saturday to make sure it was okay. Of course the only thing nourishing about it is the cinnamon. If you've never made this you will be surprised. Have fun!
