2 cups brown sugar
1/2 lb. margarine
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
7 to 8 quarts of popped corn

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, margarine, syrup, and salt to the soft ball stage (234 to 238 degrees). Add soda and stir well. Pour the mixture over the popcorn in a large roaster pan and stir to coat. Bake at 200º for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and continue stirring until kernels are separated.

Charlotte wanted to make caramel popcorn for a "High School Musical" sleepover party she was having and found this on the internet. We tested it and decided it was definitely a keeper.
