2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup quick oats

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl; set aside.

Beat butter, shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and oats. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. I prefer using parchment paper.

Bake at 350º for 8 to 11 minutes or untl golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
