Ingredients:  
1 1/2 cup flour
1 3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup grated raw apple

Topping: 1/2 cup melted butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, & sugar. Cut in shortening until is fine. Mix together egg, milk, & apple. Add all at once to dry ingredients. Mix quickly but thoroughtly. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min. Remove from pan & immediately roll in the topping of butter, cinnamon & sugar. Serve warm
