Mandarin Orange Salad Recipe

1 C sliced almonds
4 T sugar
1/4 C vegetable oil
2 T vinegar
1 t chopped parsley
dash pepper
dash tabasco
1/4 head of lettuce
1/4 head of romaine
2 stalks of celery
2 green onions
1 can manadarin oranges

Cook almonds in 2 T sugar stirring constantly until sugar melts. Cool, combine oil, rest of the sugar, vinegar, parsley, pepper and tabasco. Mix until sugar dissolves. Just before serving, pour dressing and almonds over remaining ingredients and toss.
