1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup shortening
4 tbsp dry buttermilk
7/8 cup water
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup white raisins

Directions:
Directions:
In the bowl of a food processor, blend all of the dry ingredients. Add the shortening, cut into pieces and pulse in quickly. Save 1/4 cup for topping. In a bowl, beat the egg and the water. Add the contents of the processor bowl and the raisins and mix well. Pour the batter into a greased 8"x8" pan and sprinkle on the reserved topping. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes.
