"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

1-1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 egg
1 medium onion, chopped fine so the kids will eat
1 can tomato sauce
2 T mustard
1 cup bread crumbs (3 pieces)
1-1/2 tsp. salt (I usually just use 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt and 1/2 tsp. garlic salt)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup water
2 T brown sugar
1 T vinegar

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Make into three small loaves and place in 9 x 13 pan. Top each loaf with ketchup. Place in preheated 350 oven and bake for 45 minutes. Drain as soon as possible. Place on platter and enjoy.
