6 bacon strips, diced
1 can (141/2 oz. ) chicken broth
3 c. cubed potatoes
1 sm. carrot, grated
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
3 c. milk
8 oz. Cheddar cheese, cubed

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, cook bacon until crisp, then remove from pan. Add the broth, vegetables and seasonings to bacon drippings. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cover and simmer for 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Combine flour and milk until smooth; add to soup. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add cheese, stir until cheese is melted and the soup is heated through
