1 onion flakes, diced
1 small cabbage, coarsely shredded
2 cups tomato puree or tomato sauce (Hunt's)
1/2 cup raisins
juice of 2 lemons
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1 1/2 quarts beef stock or water
2 tbsp oil

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, saute the onion in the oil until the onion is translucent. Add the cabbage and continue to saute, stirring, until the cabbage is slightly wilted. Add the stock or water and the raisins and continue cooking, covered until the cabbage is tender. Add the lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes more. Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding more sugar and/or lemon juice as desired. Serve hot.
