1 lb. ground beef
16 oz. canned tomatoes (cut up) and juice
2 medium onions, chopped
2 medium carrorts, chopped
2 stalks of celery, chopped
1/3 c. barley
1/4 c. ketchup
2 boullion cubes
1 tsp. basil
1 bay leaf

1. Brown beef, drain fat.
2. Stir in 5 cups of water, then all other ingredients.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Put in crockpot on low for 6-8 hours.
5. Remove bay leaf and use salt and pepper to taste.
