CAKE:
1 C Sugar
1/4 C Butter, softened
1 Egg
2 C grated Apple
1/2 C Nuts, chopped
1 C Flour (a little more if apples are really moist)
1 tsp Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Salt

SAUCE:
1/2 C Butter
1 C Sugar
1/2 C Cream
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
Dash of Nutmeg
Directions:
Directions:
CAKE:
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and beat well.
Add apple then stire in dry ingredients.
Add nuts and mix well.
Bake in 8x8 pan for 35 minutes at 350º

SAUCE:
Blend all ingredients together in a saucepan and cook over low heat until slightly thickened. DO NOT BOIL. Serve with cake.
