CRUST---------1c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 c. butter, cut into pieces
FILLING----------2- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, room temp.
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
TOPPING------2 lge gren apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. vanilla
1/3 c. coarsely chopped nuts

CRUST-----Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, sugar and vanilla in med. bowl. Cut in butter making coarse meal, press into bottom and sides of 10" springform pan. Bake until golden about 5 min. Cool to room temp.
INCREASE OVEN TEMP. TO 450 DEGREES.
FILLING-------BEAT CREAM CHEESE, SUGAR, AND VANILLA UNTIL SMOOTH. BEAT IN EGGS ONE AT A TIME. SPOON OVER CRUST.
TOPPING-------Mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Spoon over cream cheese layer evenly and sprinkle with nuts. Bake 15 min.
Reduce oven to 350 degrees and continue baking 45 min. or tester comes out clean. Cool on rack,refrig.
Stand at room temp. 30 min. before serving!
