1 stick margarine
1 c. flour
5 c. milk
1 c. chicken broth
2 10 oz. packages frozen chopped broccoli
1 c. sharp shredded cheese (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Make a roux by melting margarine in a saucepan, adding flour and whisking until thickened. Add the milk and chicken broth and blend well. Partially cook the broccoli and add to the broth. Add cheese if desired, and keep stirring until melted. Salt and pepper to taste.
