¾ C SHORTENING, 1 C SUGAR, 1 EGG, ¼ C MOLASSES,


2 C FLOUR,
2 tsp BAKING SODA,
1 tsp CINNAMON,
½ tsp CLOVES,
½ tsp GINGER,
½ tsp SALT

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses and mix well.

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir in completely.

Chill and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350º.
