1/2 C margarine
4 T cocoa
1 C water
2 C flour
2 C sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 C buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Frosting:
1/2 C margarine
4 T cocoa
6 T milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 to 1 C chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to boil on low heat margarine, cocoa, and water. Pour this mixture over flour, sugar, and salt. Mix until smooth and add eggs and buttermilk. Add soda and vanilla and beat until smooth. Bake in greased and floured 9x13 inch pan at 350º for 35 to 40 minutes. Start frosting 5 minutes before cake is finished. Bring margarine, cocoa, and milk to a boil over low heat. Pour in powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour over hot cake as it is taken from the oven.
