3 cups macaroni (cooked) (Ruth and family prefer shell macaroni for this.)
1 onion, diced
1/2 cup or more celery, diced
1/4 green pepper (optional)
4-5 hard boiled eggs, diced
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish (or 2 tablespoons sweet pickles, finely diced)
3 small cans tuna
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sugar
1 cup mayonnaise (salad dressing)
2 tablespoons vinegar or pickle juice

1. Blend salad ingredients.
2. Mix dressing ingredients well and stir into salad mixture.
3. Store in refrigerator for several hours before serving.

Personal Notes:
The recipe says the tuna is optional, but once you have it with the tuna, it's the only way to go - a perfect summer meal served on a crisp leaf of lettuce with a side of cantaloupe.
