1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
3 eggs
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Filling:

1 lb. dates (cut)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream and beat: sugars, butter, eggs.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Filling-Cook on stove until date become a thick "mush"
4. Chill dough.
5. Roll out 1/2" thick, spread with filling, and roll. (Cut big roll into 4 small rolls.)
6. Chill overnight.
7. Slice and bake at 350º for about 10 minutes.
