1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 lb. 13 oz. can tomatoes
1- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix
1 can mushrooms
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
8 oz. lasagna noodles
6 oz. mozzarella cheese
cottage cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Directions:

1. Brown 1 1/2 lb. ground beef; spoon off excess fat.
2. Add one 1 lb. 13 oz. can tomatoes, one 8 oz. can tomato sauce, 2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix, 1 can mushrooms, and 1/4 tsp. garlic salt.
3. Bring mixture to boiling; simmer uncovered about 10 min.
4. Cook 8 oz. lasagna noodles; drain. Rinse in cold water.
5. Place half the noodles in a 12 X 7 1/2 X 2 baking dish. Cover with 1/3 of the sauce. Add half of a 6 oz. pkg. mozzarella cheese, then 1/2 c. cottage cheese.
6. Repeat layers with noodles, 1/3 of the sauce, mozzarella, 1/2 c. cottage cheese, and end with sauce.
7. Top with 1/2 c, grated Parmesan cheese.
8. Bake at 350º for 45 min.
9. Let stand 10 min. Cut in squares.
