3 medium onions, sliced
2 green peppers, sliced
1 lb lean ground beef
1 large can of tomatoes or 6 – 8 pear tomatoes
¾ cup washed uncooked rice
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef until mixture falls apart. Add rice and spices. Cook until rice takes on translucent appearance. Add remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cook on medium heat until rice is done (about 20 minutes). If needed, add ½ cup water. Check seasoning.
