2 boxes of cook & serve chocolate pudding
4 cups of milk ( to make the pudding)
Box of graham crackers
Cool whip or Rediwhip for topping

Directions:
Directions:
Make pudding as directed on back of the box. In a square 9" baking pan lay graham crackers on the bottom ( you may have to break the crackers to squares so they fit ). Pour about 1/3 of the pudding on top & make smooth. Keep layering the graham cracker & pudding. Until you end with pudding on top. Cover with wrap & refrigerate 2 hrs or overnight. Cut into nice squares & a dollop of whip cream on top.

This a family favorite from when I was a kid. I loved it then and still love it. I believe the name "Ice Box Cake" derived from when times were hard, money was tight, and pudding & graham crackers were really cheap ( the few things that still are ) . So you always had this in the ice box. Funny, I find these kinds of recipes to be my favorite.
