2 eggs beaten well
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups buttermilk
2 tsp. soda in hot water
pinch of salt
3/4 cup walnuts
4 cups flour

Combine all ingredients, put in a loaf pan, and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes

This is a recipe that came from my mother, May Rierson Reed. It is important to use black walnuts. I made this often when my girls were growing up.
