8 slices cubed bread
4 eggs well beaten
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
salt and pepper
1 1/2 - 2 lbs. turkey sausage; chopped ham; or sausage links in small pieces

Cook sausage and drain. Add to above ingredients. Bake in greased casserole at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Casserole tastes best when refrigerated overnight before baking but allow a little more time for it to bake.

We call this our Mormon casserole because it came from an LDS cookbook that Patricia gave me years ago. When Heidi and Carrie come for brunch they still ask me to make this.
