2 c. raisins
4 egg yolks
1/2 c. water
2 c. sweet cream
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sugar
3 heaping T. cornstarch
1 3/4 c. oatmeal
pinch of salt
1 3/4 c. flour

1 t. soda

1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water until water is absorbed. Cream shortening and 1 c. sugar. Add oatmeal, flour, soda and vanilla. Mix well. Put half of this mixture in 9 x 13 pan.
Cook until thick: egg yolks, cream, 1 1/2 c. sugar, cornstarch, salt. Add raisins. Spread over crumbs; top with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350º for 25 min. These freeze well.
