- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar plus extra sugar for coating
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 36 hershey kisses

Directions:
Directions:
- Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars, and egg thoroughly
- Blend all dry ingredents and stir into shortening mixture
- Chill dough
- Heat oven to 375º
- Fill small bowl with sugar
- Roll dough into 1 1/4" balls, roll through sugar and place 3" apart on lightly greased baking sheet
- Bake 10 to 12 min
- Once out of oven immediatly take hershey's kiss and place in center of cookie and push down until kiss is secure in cookie
-Transfer to wire rack to cool after 5 mins
