3 c. dry bread crumbs.
1 1/2 c. light cream
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
1 1/2 c. milk
6 egg yolks or 3 whole eggs
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. minced onion
2 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. allspice
Shortening

In large bowl, soak bread crumbs in cream; mix in meat thoroughly. Stir in remaining ingredients except shortening. Shape mixture into 1-in. balls. Melt shortening in large skillet; brown and cook meatballs.

Sauce for Swedish Meatballs

1 c. of half & half cream.
2 c. beef broth.
1 c. sliced, fresh mushrooms (optional, I don't use).
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg.
1/4 tsp. ground allspice.
4 tsp. of corn starch.

In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients (except mushrooms). Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Add mushrooms and swedish meatballs, cooking until heated through.
