2 c flour
1 T baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 c shortening
2/3 c milk
1 lb hot pork sausage

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk, stirring til well blended. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead 3-4 times.
Roll dough out to an 18x12 rectangle. Spread sausage (room temperature) over dough, leaving a 1/2 " margin on all sides. Carefully roll dough jellyroll fashion; pinch seams to seal. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Slice dough into 1/4" slices. Arrange 1" apart on baking sheets. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until browned.
