1/2 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. corn starch
Pinch salt
2-1/2 cups milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn starch and salt. Stir in milk until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add 1/2-cup milk mixture to yolks; return all to pan. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
Serves 4.
