6 slices of bacon, partially cooked
1 cup soft white bread crumbs


Flavoring Mixture:

1/2 cup chopped green onions
2 tablespoons parsley
2 tablespoons celery leaves
1 clove garlic
3 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
dash of ground cloves

Meat Mixture:


1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 lb ground veal


Topping Mixture:

1/3 cup chili sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350.
Beat together the flavoring ingredients.
Add and mix the bread crumbs.
Mix the meat mixture ingredients separately.
Combine both mixtures with as little mixing as possible.
On a foil lined 9"x13" baking pan, shape the meat into a 10"x4" loaf.
Mix together the topping ingredients.
Pour this over the top of the meatloaf.
Cover it with the bacon slices, on a diagonal.
Cook for 55 minutes.
