1 stick margarine, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, dash salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional), 2 apples (peeled, cored, chopped)

Directions:

1. Wash your hands (this is a very important step for all chefs)
2. Cream margarine, sugar, and egg (you may need a grown-up to help you)
3. Add dry ingredients, then apples, and nuts
4. Spread in a greased 9 inch pan
5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. (only grownups should use the oven.)
