Crust (9"inch pie)
2 cups flour
2/3 to 3/4 cup Crisco
1/4 cup water

1 to 1 1/4 cups sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 TBS butter
6 to 7 cups sliced apples

Preheat oven to 400
For crust - Cut Crisco into flour with pastry blender to the size of peas. Sprinkle water over mixture, Moisten using a fork until ball can be formed. Cut in half, roll one half and place in 9 inch pie plate.
Pile apples high in pastry lined pie plate. Pour sugar/cinnamon mixture over apples. Dot with small pieces of butter. Roll remaining crust and cover pie. Slit top and flute edges. Bake for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 375 and bake for another 20-25 minutes. (I use two or three different kinds of cooking apples)
