4 - 1/2 oz. bottles red flavoring
2 - 3 tbsp. milk cocoa (instant nestle milk cocoa mix)
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1/2 - 1 scant tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. soda
ICING:
1 stick oleo
8 tbsp. Crisco
1 c. granulated sugar
3 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. milk at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the red flavoring and milk cocoa mix together. Cream the Crisco and sugar. Add eggs. Add the coloring and cocoa mixture. Add the buttermilk, flour, salt, vanilla, vinegar and soda. Bake in 2-8" pans at 350º for 30 - 35 minutes. Icing: Mix oleo, crisco and sugar together. Add the flour one tbsp at the time. Add milk at room temperature. Add vanilla and beat until fluffy.
