1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed, 3/4 c butter, 3/4 c flour, 4 c milk, 1 can chicken broth, 1 lb cubed cooked ham,1 c shredded cheddar cheese, 8 hard boiled eggs quartered, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, 10-12 biscuits warmed

Cut asparagus into 1/2 inch pieces and cook until tender, Set aside. Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour. Add milk and broth bringing to boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Add ham and cheese, stir until the cheese melts. Add eggs, salt, cayenne and asparagus. Heat through. Serve over warm biscuits.
