Creamy Broccoli Soup Recipe

1 c. chopped onion
3 Tbsp. butter
2 c. chicken broth
2 c. water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
4 oz. fine noodles
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3 c. milk
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c. Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 c. cooked chicken pieces, optional
1 c. can mushrooms, optional
pepper to taste

Saute' onion in butter. Add broth, water and bouillon. Heat to boiling. Then add noodles and salt. Cook noodles until almost tender, then add broccoli and garlic powder. Cook for minutes four minutes. Add milk, Velveeta cheese and chicken soup. May also add chicken pieces and mushrooms if you like. Add pepper to taste. Stir until chicken is melted. May want to thicken with flour. Enjoy!
