12-15 cooked clams-chopped
1 medium onion chopped
3 slices bacon, cooked-reserve 1T. of fat
4 small potatoes-cubed
1c.clam broth
1c. chicken broth
1c.water
black pepper to taste
1tsp. dill (optional)
1 pat of butter (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook clams in a pot w/ some water until they open,
reserve broth.
Saute bacon, drain fat and set aside
In large pot, saute onion until tender, add broth, chicken stock , water, potatoes and clams, bring
to simmer for about 10 mins. when potatoes are tender add crushed bacon, dill and butter.
Stir and serve, Yumm!!

We use fresh clams, but you can also buy frozen
they are just as good. This is a nice fresh tasting chowder, you can add tomatoes or even a little
cream if you like. Justin's Clam Cakes Du Jour would be a nice accompaniment to this steaming bowl of goodness!!
