1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. four
2 c. frozen blueberries, optional

Crumb Nut Topping:

1/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts
1/3 c. mini chocolate chips (optional)


2 egg whites, beaten
8 oz. cream cheese
2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs; beat well> Add remaining ingredients except blueberries if desired. Spread cake batter in greased 9" x 13" x 2" cake pan or two 8" round pans Crumbs: Combine first three ingredients. Add nuts and chocolate chips if desired. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 -35 minutes. Then cut cake in half horizontally. Filling; Combine cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar. Add egg whites and vanilla. Fill coffee cake.
