2 sticks butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups quaker oats
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. Add oats, chocolate chips and nuts if desired. Mix well.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake 9 to 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack.
