2 pounds hash browns (defrosted)
1/2 c melted butter (1 stick)
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 c chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pt dairy sour cream
10 oz grated sharp cheddar cheese or Velveeta

Directions:
Directions:
Combine potato with butter and salt and pepper - add onion - add soup and sour cream and cheese. Blend everything together.
Grease a 9 X 13 dish and add mixture. If desired top with 2 cups corn flakes (crushed) and 1/4 cup melted butter.
Bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
