1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 c. chopped onion
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 T. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. red pepper sauce
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 (16 oz.) can whole or diced tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans, undrained

Cook and stir ground beef or turkey, onion and garlic in large saucepan until meat is browned. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans. Break up whole tomatoes. Heat to boiling, reduce to simmer. Cover and simmer, stirring occassionally for 1 hour. Stir in beans. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered stirring occasionally for about 20 minutes. Serve with warm corn bread.
