2 C. Butter, room temperature
1 C. Powdered Sugar
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
4 C. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, blending thoroughly.
Stir in vanilla. Add flour, 1 C. at a time, mixing well. Turn onto a floured board, knead until all cracks have disappeared. Divide dough into 4 portions. Shape each portion into a circle, prick deeply with a fork, crimp edges.
Bake at 275º degrees for 1 hour, depending on thickness; or until light brown.
Cut into 12 triangular (pie shaped) pieces with sharp knife while still warm.
