1 1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 tsp. nutmeg
6 eggs
3 c. sugar
6 + c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 T. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening, salt, lemon rind, and nutmeg. Add sugar gradually, and cream well. Add beaten eggs and milk. Add flour and mix until you have a soft dough. Chill for hr. Roll dough out on floured surface, and cut with cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheet, and bake in 375º oven for 12 min. Cool and frost. Great Valentine cookies.
