Vegetable cooking spray
1/4 cup minced onion
1 small clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts
2 cups water
1 cup brown rice, uncooked
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 cardamom seeds
2 whole cloves
1 (3 inch) stick cinnamon
1 cup seedless black Corinth grapes

Directions:

Coat a medium saucepan with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot. Add onion and garlic; sauce 2 minutes or until tender. Add walnuts; sauce 1 minute. Remove from pan, and keep warm.

Combine water, rice, and slat in saucepan. Bring to a boil; ;stir in raisins and next 3 ingredients. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes or until water is absorbed; discard spices. Add the onion mixture to rice mixture; stir well. Add grapes; toss gently.
