1/2 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 medium potatoes, diced
1 c. water
2 quarts milk
1 Tbsp. chicken soup base
2 cans (7 oz.) minced clams and juice
1 can New England clam chowder soup
dash garlic powder
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
On low heat saute onions in butter or margarine, until soft but not brown. Add diced potatoes and 1 cup of water. Cook until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes. Add milk,soup base, clams and juice, and canned soup. Heat. Thicken with a little roux and season with garlic powder. Add Worcestershire sauce. Stir while cooking to prevent from burning.©
