1/4 c. butter (softened)

Directions:
Combine 1 c. flour, yeast, sugar & salt in a bowl. Add butter and hot water. Beat for two minutes at medium with mixer. Add egg and 1/4 c. flour. Gradually stir in remaining flour until the batter takes on a doughy consistency.

Turn out onto a flour board and knead for 5 - 10 minutes. Form into a round ball and cover lightly with Saran Wrap and towel. Let rest for 15 - 20 minutes. Punch down dough and shape into cinnamon rolls by rolling dough into 15" x 9" rectangle. Spread with 2 T. butter, 1/2 c. sugar and 2 T. cinnamon. Roll up tightly into a tube and cut into 1" slices using thread or dental floss.

Place in a greased cake pan or 9" x13" oblong pan. Brush lightly with oil. Cover lightly with waxed paper and refrigerate 24 hours (or at least overnight). Remove from refrigerator 10 minutes while oven preheats to 375º F. Then bake for 30 - 35 minutes. After removing from oven, drizzle with a mixture of powdered sugar and water.
