1 2/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing well. Cut in shortening. Stir in cheese. Add buttermilk until dough sticks together. Knead lightly. Roll out on floured surface and cut into biscuits. These can also be dropped biscuits. Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
